2^nd Annual Sandy Run Christmas Parade honors WWII Veterans.

Sandy Run Ruritan Club honors Veterans in Community.

12/31/01 -- The 2^nd Annual Sandy Run Christmas parade was a great success again.  The organizers of the parade (Sandy Run Coon Hunters Association), along with the Sandy Run Ruritans, Veterans Association, and the citizens of the community, wanted to honor all of the WWII Veterans in our community.  The Ruritans sponsored a float for the veterans to ride on in the parade.  It was a very patriotic theme right down to the selection of music that was played in honor of the veterans.  After the parade, the Veterans Association presented the veterans with medals and certificates of appreciation for the service to their country and community.
