2004 Thanksgiving Dinners

The Sandy Run Ruritan Club and Piccadilly Cafeteria made Thanksgiving a little brighter for four families in the Sandy Run area. Four meals, turkey with all the trimmings, were prepared and delivered on Wednesday, November 24, 2004.  Ruritans, with the help of Angie Redmond, Parish Nurse, were able to select families that had the greatest need.  This is the fourth year that Piccadilly Cafeteria, in partnership with the Ruritan club, has donated one of the dinners.  Ruritan members donated canned goods to be included with the Thanksgiving dinners and a microwave oven for one of the families.  Families receiving the dinners, canned goods, and microwave oven were very grateful. 

 Special thanks to Piccadilly Cafeteria and the Sandy Run Ruritan Club for helping to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for these four families.  The Ruritan motto of Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service was well demonstrated on this day.
