2002 Thanksgiving Dinners

The Sandy Run Ruritan Club, Cub Scout Pack 450, and the Piccadilly Cafeteria made Thanksgiving a little brighter for three families in Sandy Run. Three meals, turkey with all the trimmings, were prepared and delivered on Wednesday, November 27, 2002.  Cub Scout Pack 450 from Beulah United Methodist Church had conducted a canned good fund drive and donated food collected from this drive to be included with the Thanksgiving dinners.  When Piccadilly Cafeteria found out what the Ruritans were doing, they donated one of the meals.  Families receiving the dinners and canned goods were very grateful.  

 Special thanks to Cub Scout Pack 450, Piccadilly Cafeteria, and the Sandy Run Ruritan Club for helping to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for these three families.  The Ruritan motto of Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service was well demonstrated on this day.
