2004 BBQ Chicken Dinner

We thank all those who supported the Sandy Run Ruritan Club’s annual chicken barbecue.  The barbecue was held Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Sandy Run Community Center.  This event takes a lot of planning, the willingness of each Ruritan member to do his or her part, and the support of the community.  All of these ingredients came together to make this year’s barbecue a success. With the proceeds from this barbecue the Sandy Run Ruritan Club sponsor’s college scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the Sandy Run community and other worthwhile projects.  Also, a great big thank you to Allen and Kelly Williams and Andrew and Lee Yancey for their help with the barbecue.

The Ruritan motto of Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service was very evident on this day.  Thanks again to all those who helped to make our fundraiser a success.
