A Book About Me

In cooperation with the Midlands Council-BellSouth Pioneers and the Sandy Run Ruritans have distributed the "A Book About Me" book to area schools in Sandy Run.

The book, entitled "A Book About Me," has each child starring in the same story, with the names of two friends, the principal and the school name.  The "A Book About Me" program is a new North American-program aimed at fostering a love of reading and nurturing  early self-concept development in kindergartners.  The reader is a personalized hardcover book with carefully designed content to help young children gain a positive self-image and a love for reading while encouraging positive behavior.
